We are super excited to announce a brand new Pixelmania product — NNRetime. NNRetime is our forth product in the Nuke plugin suite, and is solving something that has been annoying me for the 20+ years I’ve worked as a compositor, more specifically retiming. It is a new generation of retimers, built using a state-of-the-art machine learning model trained from scratch on our own curated dataset for this specific purpose. Compared with existing optical-flow-based tools, it produces cleaner output with noticeably fewer artifacts. It handles high dynamic range values correctly and scales to 8K and beyond — staying memory-efficient even at large resolutions thanks to tiling support.
Here are the main features listed:
- 2K on 8 GB VRAM
- 4K on 16 GB VRAM
- 8K and beyond via tiling
- GPU-accelerated
- Proper handling of high dynamic range values
- Overscan and animated bounding-box support
- Custom layer support, including AOVs and light groups
- Runs on Linux (Nuke 13.1+), Windows (Nuke 14.1+), and macOS (Nuke 15.1+)
- Nuke Indie support
- Fully sandboxed and production-friendly — runs offline, no internet connection required
